The position includes one weekday allocated for clinical practice, to be determined in collaboration with the Program Director and/or BCHS Dean. The role also involves participating in Return to Campus Days, simulation and skills activities, and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
Responsibilities
- Serve as course director and instructor for PAS courses, following the BCHS/PAS faculty workload guidelines.
- Design and implement course content that aligns with the PAS curriculum's student learning outcomes.
- Participate in capstone advising and mentoring, as well as student remediation efforts.
- Support ARC-PA accreditation processes and contribute to university-wide assessment initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA program with a Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current Illinois PA licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Experience as a practicing PA for a minimum of 3 years.
- NCCPA certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience.
- Experience in the classroom or clinical teaching.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Highly motivated, team player with a strong work ethic, and possesses a high level of collaborative competencies.
