POSITIONS DESCRIPTION:
The Student Activities Chair promotes student engagement and student activities within the La Casa Residence Hall. They also foster a culture of inclusiveness and belonging that leads to a stronger residence hall community.
JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
With the supervision and collaboration of a professional staff:
- Coordinates activities that promote student leadership and enrichment of student life.
- Coordinates activities and schedules events after appropriate planning and development.
- Plan two building-wide events per semester
- Determine appropriate campus facilities for programs and reserve rooms and facilities for use
- Promote events through campus publicity
- Promotes and supports campus clubs and organizations from both River Forest and Chicago Campuses
- Maintains accurate records of all CHI Campus Student Activities event
- Work on various campus committees and other special assignments as
- assigned by the administration and/or the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a Dominican University student in good standing and not on Academic or Disciplinary probation.
- Must have the availability to work evenings, during break periods, and weekends to support special events.
