JOB DESCRIPTION
The Center for Global Peace through Commerce (CGPtC) is looking for a student worker to
work as an Student Assistant. The student selected will support the development of the
rocurement Academy and may provide administrative support to the CGPtC Office and work
under the supervision of the Director.
The Center for Global Peace through Commerce (CGPtC) is looking for a student worker to
work as an Student Assistant. The student selected will support the development of the
rocurement Academy and may provide administrative support to the CGPtC Office and work
under the supervision of the Director.
Total number of hours to be worked per week will be between 5-10 hours per week, Monday to
Friday for the Fall-2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities:
- An interest in business acumen, entrepreneurship, small business
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and/or knowledge of
- Google Docs/Drive (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
- Knowledge of Canva (an online graphic design tool useful to create social media posts,
- presentations, posters, videos, logos and more)
- Familiarity of Canvas (a web-based learning management system (LMS) used at
- Dominican to manage online learning and teaching).
- Familiarity with online research/searches
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
- The ability to work independently on assignments within guidelines
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Integrity, punctuality and dependability
Job duties include:
- Support development of material on Canva and content on Canvas
- Conduct Data Entry and Internet Research
- Maintenance of data collected
- Analyze data and support the compilation of reports if needed
- Organizing information and documents
- Assist in maintaining material to be developed

student majoring in business, economics, finance, entrepreneurship or international business.
