Position Description
We are seeking a candidate to join our team and mission to provide quality masonry and hardscapes products with a commitment to being experts in our industry and providing exceptional customer service. This team member is responsible for many yard and warehouse aspects and responsibilities that support our customers’ needs. Operating vehicles and forklifts, picking and stocking products, while maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Load inventory items on company and customer vehicles for shipment out of the yard.
Use forklift, bobcat and handcart or hand load as required or directed.
Perform the last quality control inspection on inventory leaving the yard.
Maintain work area in orderly and hazard free condition.
Develop very good knowledge of inventory sizes, types, colors, and pallet / packaging counts.
Perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting & multiplying to calculate quantity of units per pallet.
Operate a forklift and other mobile equipment efficiently and safely and perform daily maintenance of same.
Minimum Requirements
Efficient written and oral communication skills. English required.
Physical requirements : Must be able to : 1.) Lift concrete products and other objects weighing up to 100 pounds each, at heights from floor to floor to 4 feet high. Sacked cement up to 100 lbs. each may also be moved as required. 2.) Provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to meet the physical and visual capabilities / expectations required for success in this role.
Pre-employment physical and drug screening standards.
Ability to meet and maintain Motor Vehicle Record requirements based on company guidelines.
