Job Summary
Dominion Energy is seeking an intern to work directly with our Supply Chain in the Power Generation Sourcing Team. The position works directly with supply chain professionals, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure equipment reliability for Power Generation Fleet, which includes gas, coal, hydro, nuclear, biomass, solar and wind generating stations. The successful candidate should be in pursuit of a relevant degree and will be exposed to sourcing of contracts and purchase orders associated with Power Generation commodities.
Candidates will have the opportunity participate in teams to support requests for services and materials from business units throughout Power Generation with a focus on cost, quality, and sustainability in accordance with Dominion policies and procedures. In addition to processing requests, interns will be expected to perform spend analyses and interact with internal customers and subject matter experts to obtain desired results. Potential exposure to multiple levels of the business will be included as part of this internship.
This is a year-round internship opportunity, not a summer internship.

Students Must Be
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Able to work on site 20 hours per week
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; GPA's of 3.0 or above strongly preferred.
- Prefer students to have foundational courses in Supply Chain, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Data Analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Excel and Power Point
- Basic understanding of negotiation principles
- Value/cost analysis
- Knowledge of SAP ERP preferred but not required
- Sound business judgment
- Comprehensive analytical abilities applicable to diverse issues
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs.
- Must be a full-time student at a 4-year college currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Students concentrating or majoring in Supply Chain Management and Analytics are strongly preferred.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- GPAs of 3.0 or greater are strongly preferred.
