Job Summary
The Dominion Energy Virginia Training group is looking for a training specialist to join their team. Our training specialists are responsible for creation and upkeep of training materials such as presentations, handouts, and computer-based training modules.
They use the ADDIE Model to create these materials which meet identified training objectives and comply with established development standards.
These deliverables support training programs in both Power Generation and Power Delivery, as well as supporting other training efforts as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience in classroom and / or web-based training needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance (Note : A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications),
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop answers,
- Expert in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Articulate Storyline (or similar authoring software such as Adobe Captivate).
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education :
Bachelor
Preferred Discipline : Education, Adult Learning
