Volunteer Opportunities : Life Enrichment Purpose : Life Enrichment Volunteers assist with activity programs in the community to ensure that the spiritual development, emotional, recreational, and social needs of our residents are met through personalized programming and engagement.
Dining Services Purpose : Dining Services Volunteers assist residents during meal service by setting up for dining service, serving meals and beverages, and sanitizing and clearing tables, trash, and trays.
Maintenance / Housekeeping Purpose : Maintenance and Housekeeping Volunteers help keep the community pristine and tidy by assisting with a variety of cleaning / maintenance projects around the grounds, within the community, and resident apartments as needed and at the discretion of the Maintenance Director.
Administrative Purpose : Administrative Volunteers assist with answering the phone, greeting visitors, temperature checks, and may also assist with scheduling, filing, and data entry as needed.
- Volunteers may also drive company vehicle for Life Enrichment programs if volunteer meets driving / MVR requirements.
Requirements Experience with seniors and especially cognitively impaired seniors (those with Alzheimers or Dementia) is preferred.Approved criminal background check, physical, drug screen, and TB skin test is required.Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.Ability to respect and maintain resident confidentiality and protect sensitive information.Dominion Senior Living is proud to be a drug-free workplace.
Employment with Dominion is contingent upon the successful passing of a pre-employment drug screen Volunteers typically commit to a consistent schedule of 2-4 hours shifts, 1 2x a week for 6 weeks or more.
This allows our residents to become familiar with our volunteers and build relationships.
