Licensing Analyst

Dominion Harbor Group
Dallas, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 3/27/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/25/2025

Looking for an alternative to traditional career opportunities in the Intellectual Property field? Dominion Harbor offers practical experience in patent analysis and licensing, setting a strong foundation for a future in intellectual property! Our collegial environment casts aside the big law 'sink or swim' model, in favor of less stress and greater mentorship from our roster of experienced, knowledgeable licensing executives--together with the freedom from billable hour requirements.

You will assist in licensing discussions by interfacing directly with stakeholders, which regularly include high ranking members of the S&P Global 100 and partners with Am Law 100 firms. Gain exposure to all aspects of patent licensing from start-to-finish, including learning to read and analyze patents, patent applications, and technical documentation in support of licensing discussions. Through our immersive training program, you'll prepare and present highly technical reports, professional-grade claim charts, rebuttals, financial models, and other deliverables.

With nearly 20,000 IP assets under management, Dominion Harbor provides countless opportunities to learn nuances of licensing activities with other team members in a highly collaborative environment, including curation and development of patent analysis to support licensing campaigns bridging across a variety of technical fields. Your work contributes meaningfully to ongoing licensing campaigns immediately upon hire, providing a foundation to progress through our organization or elsewhere! Traditionally, candidates are promoted to more senior positions in approximately 24 months, but transitions can be sped up or slowed down to accommodate each individual candidate's pace of growth. Many who accept this position have moved on to licensing management roles and senior executive positions within the company, while others have gone on to pursue careers at other IP-focused firms and prestigious academic institutions, such as the Wharton School of Business.
