This is a great opportunity for an experienced and hungry Wedding Venue Sales Executive at Dominion House located in Guthrie, OK. Your position would be to sell Weddings and Corporate Events, networking and building relationships, presenting custom event packages, and giving on-site tours. You would also be responsible for marketing management, including social media posts, updating photos and listings, attendance at industry and community events, etc.
This multi-million dollar Historic Mansion is in the heart of Guthrie, just 30 minutes from Oklahoma City. Originally built in 1923 boasting outdoor gardens, pondscapes with a waterfall, bridge and beautiful estate landscaping.
Role Summary
The Wedding Venue Sales Executive is responsible for developing relationships within the wedding and corporate industries, networking, and business development. This individual must have the ability to successfully generate leads and be able to attract clientele from the Oklahoma City territory with end to end facilitation and utmost service to the clients to create a unique, customized, experience for each event. Someone with a passion for helping clients bring their visions to life, from first contact to on-site tours and then the event is preferred. This position is responsible for selling high-end, custom events, including weddings, corporate events, meetings, and social events.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Seasoned sales executive in the wedding and event industry
- Has existing relationships with planners and decision makers.
- Engages in business development by way of networking, conducting research, coordination, and outbound sales.
- Brings energy, enthusiasm, and laser-sharp focus to every client interaction; from first contact through tours, follow-up, and event completion.
- Develops and maintains long-lasting client relationships and positive brand impressions.
- Generates ideas on how to increase client portfolio and improve visibility/brand awareness.
- Ensures clients’ needs are met and/or exceeded.
- Works directly with the Vendors on execution of events and expectations of clients if needed.
- Creates proposals, contracts, and addendums, and finds opportunities to “Up Sell” event features.
- Demonstrates exemplary communication skills - written, over the phone, and in person
- Has a sense of urgency when doing sales - must have a fast and effective response to every potential client
- Dedicated to providing the best sales experience in the industry for prospective clients
- Can handle outside sales calls to vendors that offer related services to our clients such as rentals, catering, entertainment, decor, event planning services, and any additional services requested.
- Able to work nights and weekends as many clients prefer to tour on Saturdays, Sundays and evenings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in event sales/management or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated relationships with the Oklahoma City based Event community.
- Proven background in strategizing and selling on-premise events.
- Knowledge of practices and procedures of on-premise events.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Event Management Software, Google Workspace Suite.
- Professional and effective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Actively attends trade shows, and networking events as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays if needed.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Self Driven person and highly motivated/organized. Able to manage multiple projects at once. The Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to negotiate, influence and sell prospective clients or vendors.
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Compensation: $50k to $100k (base plus commission)
