What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Contract Psychologist position at Dominion Medical Consulting?
Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking a clinical or forensic psychologist (PsyD or PhD) to conduct mental status evaluations, IQ testing, and memory testing for the Social Security Administration. This is an independent contractor, 1099 position.
Examinations are low risk. No provider-patient relationship is established, and you would not be responsible for ordering any tests, medications, or follow-up. Right now, there is enough work to support 1-2 days per month at our office in Fort Oglethorpe, just outside Chattanooga. Candidates must be licensed in GA.
This is a great moonlighting/side-gig opportunity, but not full-time. It is in-person only at this time as well. We primarily would be looking for someone with Saturday availability. We can schedule any time from 8:00 AM -6:00 PM. We would handle the actual scheduling of claimants for you after you give your availability each month and provide you with a clean professional office to conduct the evaluations. We provide a template that you can use to help guide your examination.
The ideal candidate should have at least familiarity with psychological testing. The tests most frequently needed are the WAIS, WISC, and WMS. Ideal candidates should be comfortable assessing both adult and pediatric claimants. If you are interested in providing psychological testing but do not have access to testing materials, we would provide these for you.
Work will be contracted out on an as-needed basis. Currently we could schedule up to 3 days per month, if desired. Set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you would like. Reimbursement is per report, with an MSE being paid $100 and MSE IQ test at $150. We would typically schedule and MSE for 60 minutes and MSE testing for 90 minutes, but this may be lowered with experience.
