What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Nurse Practitioner Disability Assessments position at Dominion Medical Consulting?
Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to perform general medical examinations for the Social Security Administration and Washington Disability Determination Services. This is an independent contractor, 1099 position. You would work alongside a medical assistant to help you check in patients and who would obtain claimant vital signs for you at our location in beautiful Sequim, WA.
Exams are a thorough head-to-toe physical assessment, with muscle strength and joint ROM included. Examinations are low risk. No provider-patient relationship is established and you would not be responsible for ordering any tests, medications, or follow-up. Right now, there is enough work to support at least 1-2 days per month, 8:00-5:00, potentially more if desired. This is a great moonlighting/side-gig opportunity, but not full-time.
Work will be contracted out on an as-needed basis. Set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you would like. Reimbursement is $85 per completed report and appointments are scheduled every 40 minutes, which should give you plenty of time to complete your exam and report all at once without having to take much paperwork home.
Templates and information about what should be included in examinations would all be provided. You do not have to make the determination about whether or not a claimant is disabled. We provide liability insurance as well.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking entrepreneurship, additional streams of revenue, or a way to stay active in retirement. We look forward to speaking with you!
