Dominion Service Company seeks a professional level HVAC technician with a minimum of 3-years experience. Primary responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and replacing light commercial HVAC equipment. While applicants must have the necessary technical ability, a strong work ethic and sense of accountability are of primary importance. We offer a strong benefit package and competitive pay. Company vehicle, uniforms, phone and tablet are provided. An ideal candidate for our position has HVAC education as well as necessary certification.
500 sign on bonus after completion of first 90 days
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance
Installs heating and air conditioning equipment and systems to provide enhanced and / or upgraded capabilities
Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed to ensure ongoing functioning of HVAC systems
Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and / or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.)
Requisitions material and supplies, calls vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommends purchases and suppliers
Coordinates with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
Follows all safety policies and procedures
Completes any reports or logs
Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
Graduated from an accredited HVAC training program
Three to five years of progressive and relevant experience
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Safety and customer service oriented
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
Available for emergency on-call
Valid and clean driver's license
