At Dominion Steel we specialize in the fabrication and installation of Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals. With a reputation built on precision, reliability, and integrity, we are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to join our growing team.
Project Manager will oversee all aspects of structural and miscellaneous metal projects from contract award through final closeout. This role requires an understanding of steel fabrication and installation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and GC’s in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate Division 5 projects from start to finish.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate fabrication and delivery schedules with shop and field teams.
• Oversee field crews to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with general contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Prepare and issue RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
• Work closely with estimators, drafters, and the purchasing team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate records and support billing and invoicing efforts.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of project management experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management and scheduling software a plus (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
