Overview
Kennel Attendant, Part-Time. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of pets. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry guests. Looking to fill: Tuesday-Thursday 2pm-7pm, Friday 1pm-5pm, and every other weekend (Saturday 7am-12pm, rotating shifts for kennel Saturday Afternoon and Sunday AM/PM ). Must be able to work weekends (both days) on your rotating schedule.

Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces.
- Assist with grooming tasks as needed, ensuring pets are clean and comfortable.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management team.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Support pet owners during drop-off and pick-up, answering questions and providing updates on their pets.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for kennel maintenance and animal care.
- Experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or veterinary assistance is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.41 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
