This includes creating, innovating, evaluating, developing, and implementing structures to achieve clinical excellence. This position will collaborate and facilitate communication with each program to ensure continuity of care standards and systems throughout the organization. This position will develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance the safety of individuals served, examine and mitigate risk in all clinical programs. The ability to lead and manage staff, provide clinical oversight and supervision, and maintain a professional demeanor is critical for this position.REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE : Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field required.Licensed as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, PhD, RNP, MD).Doctorate degree social work, counseling, or related field preferred.Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in human services field.Clinical experience serving special populations.Training and experience related to Corporate Compliance.Training and experience related to Risk Management and Risk Analysis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides supervision and direction to Director of Quality & Compliance to ensure effective TQM programs are developed, implemented, and well adopted. Also ensures effective quality assurance and compliance programs and processes are functioning. Sets annual goals and objectives for quality assurance.Provides direction to Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance. Practices to ensure that a wide variety of outcomes programs and reports are in place and produced.Develops risk management protocols to review past incidences, claims and liability reports to identify program risks.Participates in Risk Management committee to implement risk management plan that enhances program services and mitigate risks. Under the oversight of the COO, the committee will review program risk screening, conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and the use of data to identify risk patterns and trends.Provides direction to Clinical employees to ensure that on-site clinical supervision and implementation of effective evidence-based projects occurs.Collaboration and clinical leadership to EMR Coordinator to ensure effective development, implementation, and utilization of Electronic Medical Record. Sets annual goals and objectives for continued improvement of EMR systems and processes.Provides direction to all line of care Directors to ensure effective and legally compliant programs exist throughout Dominion. Provides guidance and direction on clinical improvement strategies and workplans. Monitors student outcomes to guide quality educational enhancements.Assists in ensuring that physician services are integrated into the clinical treatment program with the highest level of quality attainable.Develops, implements, and evaluates new program groups and activities to address client needs. Interfaces with administration and staff to facilitate improved clinical services.Leads the RFP team to develop and propose high quality clinical initiatives for funding from external agencies. As director of the RFP team, the CCO will establish RFP team members, coordinate project management, provide written program narratives and descriptions, finalize editing, and assist with proposing the RFP to external agencies. Ensures that key project outcomes and / or policy, advocacy, and legislation are evaluated and leveraged for maximum community and organizational impact.Assists in recruitment and training of new Clinical Directors, Medical Directors, and Program Directors and Administrators.The CCO will need to develop and implement programs outlined and provide direction such as outcomes and clinical training modules.Works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to achieve many of these objectives.Responsible for annual clinical / program strategic planning meetings and provides a forum for active and open effective communication that affords clinical staff discussion, team building, and establishment of clinical initiatives, system-wide coordination, and professional development opportunities. The focus will be on clinical quality, personnel, and training.Collaborates with the senior management team to integrate cross-program activities and functions. Provides Operations Directors with management consultation and clinical oversight to develop and implement effective and efficient service delivery.Lead employees in successful job objective approaches, using proven strategies that inspire confidence and motivation; clearly define expectations; and maintains personal effectiveness under pressure.Coordinates the regular evaluation, updating, and dissemination of organizational policies and procedures through the appropriate committees and approval pathways to ensure policies and procedures are present, complete, and current.
