Job Title: Fill Room Operator Level 1

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 /hr (based on experience)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for filling, capping, and labelling flammable and non-flammable fluids into containers using simple mechanical filling machines. This position is responsible for transferring filled containers to finished goods warehouse.

Gurnee (Fluids Plant)

Main Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Read daily production plan and select assigned work orders.
• Create production tracking and reporting documents.
• Make container and carton labels.
• Retrieve materials as needed for work order from storage.
• Setup filling machine and workstation.
• Fill, cap, label, and carton fluids as specified by work order.
• Complete process quality checks as defined by procedure.
• Clean machine and work area after completing work orders.
• Return unused materials to storage.
• Complete end of job reporting.
• Move finished work orders to final inspection.
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Perform spill control and containment protocols.
• Dispose of expired or defective materials.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Complete assigned workplace inspections.
• Complete assigned safety training.

What You Need

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. Must be proficient in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  
  

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work with different levels of employees and managers.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel; PowerPoint and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Medium work. Medium work involves exserting no more than 50 pounds of force at a time, with frequent exertion of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, gross/fine manipulation, driving, kneeling, crawling, and climbing may be required. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Light Work.
