Job Description
The Fleet Manager plays a critical role in overseeing fleet performance, ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of vehicles, fostering team engagement, and maintaining relationships with purveyors and maintenance providers.
Daily Tasks:
- Monitor driver performance metrics (e.g., Drivosity 20s and sub 85s), issue corrective actions, and manage driver road status as required.
- Conduct store visits, including vehicle inspections, safety discussions, and team member performance reviews.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure charging infrastructure is operational during each visit.
- Engage purveyors for follow-ups on sidelined vehicles.
- Aim to inspect at least five vehicles daily.
Weekly Tasks:
- Compile reports on EV tracking, EV usage percentages, delivery expert app usage, Geo tab violations, and Drivosity infractions.
- Build and share team schedules in collaboration with Office Admin and Director of Operations.
- Update and manage the maintenance calendar and infrastructure installation needs.
- Strengthen relationships with maintenance shops and dealers through weekly visits and feedback collection.
At Large Tasks:
- Coordinate with insurance providers for claims and new vehicle policies.
- Review video footage for accidents and miscellaneous needs.
- Facilitate vehicle tag renewals and oversee equipment installations.
- Manage new vehicle wraps and deliveries.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience and a clean driving record
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily, weekly, and long-term objectives.
- Experience in fleet operations or vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Proficiency with tracking and reporting tools.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
