We are seeking a enthusiastic and passionate teacher who can make a difference in the education landscape. This role requires versatility and adaptability in classroom setting. The Paraprofessional will support the lead teacher to help prepare for Dominus High School to opening for the 2025-2026 School Year.

The Paraprofessional provides classroom support with the support and guidance of a certified Classroom Teacher, working with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce the concepts taught, manage classroom behaviors, and help students master academic material. Occasionally provides classroom coverage/substitute teaching when the lead teacher is out. The Paraprofessional provides the Classroom Teacher with valuable feedback regarding student progress.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s in Education is preferred; or at least 48 college credits
  • Knowledge of the Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core is preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting or informal education setting is preferred
  • Experience working with students receiving special education services is preferred

Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is primarily sedentary in nature, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move throughout the building, sit, and navigate stairs in order to access classrooms and meeting areas throughout the school. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms. Frequent handling and fingering. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to talk and hear. Mental acuity required. Primarily assigned to a classroom/office environment that is climate and noise controlled with adequate lighting, using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers. Frequently called upon to monitor recess, lunch, or activity periods in an outdoor playground or athletic field setting with exposure to outdoor elements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,796.65 - $41,508.88 per year
