General Foreman – Heavy Civil/Water Infrastructure Projects
A leading construction firm specializing in heavy civil and water infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee day-to-day operations on complex construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of craft workers, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret blueprints and project plans.
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure quality control.
- Manage materials, equipment, and workforce to optimize efficiency.
- Troubleshoot on-site challenges and implement solutions effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Foreman or General Foreman in heavy civil, water treatment, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction, excavation, and utility installation.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and concrete structures.
- Proficiency in managing multiple crews on large-scale projects.
