Personal Customer Service Representative

An established insurance agency located in Evansville, IN, is seeking a dedicated Personal Customer Service Representative to join their team. The agency has been serving the local community for over a decade and has experienced rapid growth due to the contributions of its talented team members.
Objective:
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the agency’s personal lines clients feel valued, well-served, and well-cared for.
Position:
- Reports To: Agency Partner and Office Manager
- Serves: The agency’s personal lines clients and sales team.
- Job Classification: Full-time (37.5-40 hours weekly), non-exempt.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and personality test.
- Must obtain an insurance license (at the agency’s expense) within 60 days of hire.

- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Responsive and proactive with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to process, analyze, and respond to large amounts of information quickly.
- Must maintain confidentiality and trustworthiness.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and clear in both verbal and written communication.
- Must be proficient in using the agency’s computer software.

Desired Results:
- Achieve an annual retention rate of at least 90% for personal lines clients.
- Manage the annual renewal process, including cross-sell opportunities.
- Handle personal lines service and billing issues (endorsements, policy changes, third-party requests, etc.).
- Advise and assist clients with the claims process, as needed.
- Provide support to the agency’s leadership and sales team.
- Demonstrate continuous growth in teamwork and personal integrity.
