About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Engineer Manager to oversee advanced engineering initiatives, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive process improvements and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this strategic role is at the heart of innovation and excellence across our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-impact projects in process improvements, equipment upgrades, and production optimization.
- Design and specify equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, and distillation columns.
- Conduct thermodynamic and fluid dynamic analyses to troubleshoot and enhance processes.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications, and SOPs.
- Drive greenfield and brownfield engineering project execution.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and safety.
- Ensure alignment of engineering initiatives with regulatory compliance and company objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering (required).
- PE (Principal Practice Engineer) license preferred.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with equipment such as pumps, cooling towers, and distillation columns.
- Proficiency in calculating pump and piping systems and specifying equipment requirements.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
Experience:
- 10 years of progressive responsibility in chemical or process engineering, with experience in industries like chemical, pharmaceutical, or food processing.
- Proven track record in engineering project design and execution.
- Leadership experience in roles such as engineering director or manager.
- Experience in an engineering design firm (highly preferred).
- Stable career history with a minimum of 5 years in a single organization.
