Project Engineer - Heavy Highway Construction
Compensation : Competitive, 65K – 90K DOE
Steelhead Constructors, a Redding, CA based General Engineering Contractor, is actively seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Project Engineer. The position requires a sharp, professional, motivated individual. We provide a diverse amount of experience in a relatively short time frame, and the possibility of rapid advancement for high performing employees. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other engineering related field is a prerequisite. Equivalent experience and education in project or field engineering may be considered.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to, assisting estimators with bid preparation, assisting project managers with project administration, assisting superintendents with planning and tracking, procurement and engineering.

Job Requirements :
Minimum education requirement is an Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree.
Required personal qualities include strong organizational and time management skills; the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; a strong work ethic with the ability to follow through and get the job done; the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and deadlines.
Required professional skills include excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft office software; the ability to learn other application software.
Additional desired professional skills include proficiency with Spectrum (formerly Dexter Chaney) Accounting Software, Bid 2 Win Estimating and Tracking Software, Heavy Job, Primavera Scheduling Software and Agtek Takeoff Software; Safety Training; First Aid and CPR; SWPPP Training
