Summary
We are a leading heavy civil contractor with a robust portfolio in various construction trades. We manage projects across a broad spectrum, including but not limited to dirt work, concrete, wastewater site development, water tank construction, structural steel, utility piping, mechanical piping & equipment, concrete restoration, and roadway pavement. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in wastewater treatment and water tank construction, with a proven track record in creating Start Up Plans. Experience managing projects with a minimum $50M budget is required.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supervisory:
- Oversee overall project performance to ensure successful outcomes within specified timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Develop and implement tactical project plans, including project phasing, value engineering, risk management, etc.
- Evaluate project progress and implement strategies to align workflows, manage risks, and optimize goal achievement.
- Provide clear guidance to Project Engineers and hold them accountable for performance.
- Act as a mentor and resource for Project Engineers.
- Foster strong collaboration between the project team, including owners, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
Technical:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project goals, requirements, and plans.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate project activities, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field directives.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, change orders, and progress updates, to support decision-making and ensure project success.
- Manage project budgets by reviewing cost estimates, change orders, budget projections, and expenses, including supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues, address scope changes, and ensure project goals are consistently met.
- Work closely with the Superintendent, Project Engineers, and Foremen to align construction activities with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Ensure that the Superintendent and/or Foremen have the necessary technical support, including material data, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other resources.
- Coordinate with the project team to manage materials, equipment, and subcontractors effectively.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures in partnership with Superintendents and Foremen.
- Work with the Project Superintendent to maintain a safe work environment, address safety concerns, conduct inspections, and enforce safety protocols.
- Coordinate with estimators and superintendents to select subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Monitor monthly project progress and prepare progress payment requests based on completed work and material supplies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in Wastewater Treatment and Water Tank Construction Project Management.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Project Superintendent.
- Strong technology proficiency and experience with project management tools.
Required Education:
- A 4-year degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Additional education as approved by senior management is also considered.

Pay: $108,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
