Job Summary
We are a family restaurant and want to welcome people that are clean, well mannered, team player and must have a good attitude. We would like you to have knowledge and experience being a food server. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Our restaurant is not large but it does have a great customer base and we are a fast pace environment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area, adhering to sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
- Perform basic math calculations for order totals and process payments accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and specials to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a positive dining experience for all patrons.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong food handling skills and knowledge of sanitation practices are essential.
- Basic math skills to accurately process transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
- A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is highly valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
