Summary
We are seeking a reliable, efficient saw shop operator/tender to join our growing team. In this position, you will fabricate and assemble parts, pieces, and products using an array of tools and equipment. Emphasis on quality, a dedication to performing work accurately, and a keen attention to detail are a must.
Responsibilities
- Read CAD drawings and verify the parts required prior to cutting.
- Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation and calibration equipment.
- Measuring and marking out cutting metal.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Determine saw blade and type to perform duty properly.
- Is responsible for purchasing of metal as well as receiving goods.
- Responsible for maintaining proper scrap metal protocols.
- Must work in a safe capacity of OSHA standards.
- Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
- Forklift/Crane experience is a plus.
Requirements
- High School Diplomas or GED
- 2 or more years of saw shop experience
- Simple shop math.
- Auto drafting is a plus
- Ability to use/read tape measures. Working knowledge of using calipers & micrometers is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work execution.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
