Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing Utility operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate the team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the Utility department and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with other area managers and staff to achieve corporate and mill goals
- Communicate clear expectations for area Operations Coordinators and Hourly personnel regarding Safety, Quality, Environmental Compliance, and Production
- Provide guidance and direction for area Operations Coordinators in all aspects of area operation, including training and annual performance reviews
- Perform safety and housekeeping audits as directed and follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed
- Mentor and develop Operations Coordinators for succession planning
- Assist Operations Coordinators in development of the operating budget proposals for all Utility departments
- Develop and maintain a three and five year plan for proposed operational improvement and capital management projects
- Monitor the performance of the overall process and provide feedback to Operations Coordinators to maintain consistent high quality production
Requirements
- Greater than 10 years experience in management of Utilities or Chemical Recovery processes
- Proficient with standard administrative software
