Wood paint/stain professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Wood Finisher to join our team. As a Wood Finisher, you will be responsible for applying finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring high-quality results. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of wood finishing techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, scraping, and filling imperfections
- Apply stains, varnishes, lacquers, or other finishes to enhance the appearance of wood
- Use brushes, spray guns, or other tools to apply finishes evenly and smoothly
- Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment when working with chemicals and finishes
- Inspect finished products for quality control and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines

-Knowledge of appropriate PPE

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Wood Finisher or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of wood finishing techniques and materials
- Familiarity with different types of wood and their characteristics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to wood finishing
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects

Skills:
- Electrical skills for operating power tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required in the wood finishing process
- Knowledge of fabricating techniques for custom wood pieces
- Understanding of plastering techniques for repairing damaged surfaces
- Familiarity with masonry work for integrating wood finishes with other materials
- Construction painting skills for applying finishes on large-scale projects
- Ability to restore old or damaged wood surfaces to their original condition
- Knowledge of roofing techniques for applying finishes on exterior wood surfaces
- Basic plumbing skills for installing or repairing fixtures on finished wood products
- Experience with concrete forming for creating custom wood structures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
