Job Summary :
The Experienced General Motors Automotive Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and / or franchise standards. We offer competitive wages, paid training, flexible schedules (4-day work week possible), a well-maintained shop with new equipment and production-based pay plans that include incentives for highly proficient technicians.
- Your earning potential could come close or exceed 100k a year based on experience level and production.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Job duties for the Experienced GM Automotive Technician include but are not limited to :
Qualifications :
Two years in a dealership service department as a GM technician and ASE certifications are preferred.
Good communication skills, multi-tasking skills and computer skills a must.
High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred.
Must have good driving record.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :
Extended working hours may be required.
Weather conditions vary depending on the season.
Technicians work indoors in the service department, which is often noisy with some dust and fumes.
Technician may be exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning material or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments, some of which may be considered health hazards. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling and heavy lifting.
Must be able to move about the complex in all weather conditions and be able to enter and exit most types of vehicles.
