Job Summary

The Sales Lot Porter assists the Sales Manager and Sales Representatives by keeping the vehicle inventory clean and organized. With guidance from sales staff will perform various duties to make sure the lot is in order and prepare vehicles for delivery.

This position is not ‘remote work’ capable and requires punctual, consistent, and regular attendance for all scheduled shifts. Missed work affects the day-to-day operations of the company. This in turn negatively impacts fellow employees through lowered morale and / or lost income opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job duties for the Sales Lot Porter include but are not limited to:

• Acts as a goodwill ambassador for the dealership by promoting professionalism and displaying excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Delivers/porters vehicles that are being delivered to customers.
• Washes and cleans all vehicles before delivery.
• Keeps the exterior of building and ground free of trash and removes snow from building entrances.
• Maintains the vehicle sales inventory by cleaning exterior and interior of vehicles on lot as needed. This may include fueling, putting sales information in vehicles, adding shadow marks, etc.
• Removes snow from vehicles as needed.
• Takes direction from sales staff in moving vehicles throughout dealership.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner following all company safety guidelines and policies.
• Performs other duties as requested or required.

Qualifications:

Good communication skills, driver’s license, and a good driving record are a must.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Extended working hours may be required, which may include working at nighttime or weekends. Weather conditions may vary depending on the season.

Wages: $17.00 per hour
