Responsibilities
- Operate phone systems efficiently to manage incoming calls and messages.
- Greet each customer in a positive, engaging, and professional manner.
- Manage daily office operations and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with recording customer payments, tracking revenue, and performing accounting activities to include petty cash reconciliation, end of day close, bank deposits, posting of charges, entering invoices, balance accounts daily and monthly.
- Assist in preparation of financial records including general ledger entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with maintaining employee records, including new hires, terminations, and benefits administration.
- Assist with processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
- Assist with ordering office supplies, office forms, making service calls for equipment.
- Direct report to the Office Manager.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance office productivity and efficiency.
- Serve as assistant to department managers as needed, handling various tasks that require discretion and confidentiality.
- Bring your positive, can-do attitude to work every day.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications
- Previous accounting experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, especially on the phone.
- Above average knowledge of office systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, including computers, printers, and fax machines.
- Experience working with MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular) and various software applications.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
- Eagerness to learn with a self-starter mentality.
- Available to work flexible hours including every other Saturday until 1:00PM.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Must have a very strong work ethic with a strong desire to succeed.
- Must be able to maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
