Primary Function Ensure that all machines and equipment are kept in reliable running order. To maintain all equipment under a preventative maintenance schedule as recommended by manufactures of the equipment.

Typical Physical Demands Bending, stretching or lifting will be required. Requires the ability to work under high stress conditions for long periods of time. Ability to properly fill out paperwork. Ability to work in a confined space with proper personnel protective equipment (PPE).

Typical Working Conditions Time will be spent inside and outside of the cold storage with the proper gear provided by the company to succeed in either enviroment.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Communicate with supervisor and warehouse personnel to know what equipment is in need of repair and when such repairs can be made to not slow down operations

· Perform monthly checks of refrigeration equipment to ensure optimum performance

· Perform checks on forklift batteries as recommended by manufacturer.

· Responsible for general building repairs and maintenance

· Responsible for grounds maintenance

· Keep maintenance areas swept and clean

· To assist with operations when needed

· Aid in the development of safety operations and procedures

· Assist in reviewing and implementing changes to safety procedures quarterly

· Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
• A background in ammonia refrigeration or certificate from a certified ammonia school is preferred
• Have a background in forklift maintenance and repair
• Demonstrate ability to work well with other individuals and teams to achieve set goals in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
