As a Restaurant Server at Doña Arepa Bistro you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests. From preparing food, taking care of customers, and working the POS, to maintaining store cleanliness and working on brand growth, your responsibilities are diverse. You also ensure adherence to store policies, guest experience, training, scheduling, and inventory management. Each shift, you set the highest standards of leadership and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Order Management & Customer Service – Take and serve food and beverage orders, answer phone calls, manage ToGo and delivery orders, and ensure guest satisfaction. Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Guest Interaction – Provide menu recommendations, explain dish preparations, inform guests of specials, and deliver excellent customer service. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Drink Preparation – Prepare hot, cold, and mixed beverages, including specialty drinks, while verifying age requirements for alcohol service.
- Food & Beverage Service – Assist with food prep, portion desserts, serve dishes, and communicate with the kitchen for smooth operations.
- Cleaning & Maintenance – Clear tables, clean drinkware, maintain dining areas, restock supplies, and perform general cleaning duties.
- Administrative Tasks – Handle payment transactions, close POS sales, assist with weekly sales reports, and manage inventory.
- Collaboration – Work closely with kitchen staff, ensure food safety compliance, maintain communication with management, and report issues.
- Requirements – At least one year of experience, fluency in Spanish and English, strong customer service skills, and flexibility in work hours.
- Preferred Qualifications – Food Handler Certificate, basic math skills, ability to handle sensitive information, and knowledge of Toast POS.
- Additional Skills – Speaking a third language and experience in high-paced restaurant environments are considered a plus.
