Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Utilize accounting software, such as Sage, to streamline financial processes.
- Generate financial reports and statements for management review.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards is essential.
- Experience with accounting software, particularly Sage, is preferred.
