What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Service Technician/Tire Tech position at Donald B. Rice Tire Co., Inc.?
Rice Tire is accepting applications for an experienced Road Service Technician for its Frederick MD location. Candidate may be required to work in the shop when not on the road.
Responsibilities
- Perform roadside assistance and tire repairs for various vehicles and equipment in a culture that promotes Stop Work Authority to ensure the safety of employees, customers and/or the public.
- Drive to various locations/jobsites as needed, maintaining a valid driver's license, complying with DOT rules and regulations.
- Provide assistance in the shop as needed.
- Able to lift 50-100 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be able to change passenger, light truck, industrial and commercial truck tires.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with three years of driving experience.
- Successful candidates must possess a valid DOT medical card or be able to become medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
- Acceptable pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications:
- Safety conscious, respectful, honest, strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team
Ideal candidates may be required to run road calls day and/or night.
Pay Range: $22.00 - 25.00 per hour Overtime Commission
