The School Kids Connection Program (SKC) is looking for passionate, energetic leaders to join our team! If you’re excited about empowering the next generation and leading a dynamic afterschool program, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As an SKC Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping young minds and leading your team to success at one of our school sites. Our mission? To provide a fun, safe, and nurturing space during out-of-school hours where children are inspired to reach their full potential and dream big!

Key Responsibilities:
- Be a leader! Guide and support your team in planning and delivering fun, educational lessons that develop children’s social, motor, and cognitive skills.
- Ensure all children are safe, supervised, and actively engaged in developmentally appropriate activities, from learning centers to art projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents during drop-off and pick-up, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Handle key administrative tasks such as rosters, checklists, evaluations, and more.
- Participate in pre-employment training, as well as regular staff meetings and ongoing development sessions.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, Monday – Friday from 2:30 – 6:00 pm. Perfect for someone looking to lead during afterschool hours and make a real impact in a few short hours each day.
Who You Are:
- A natural leader who thrives in a team environment and has a passion for working with kids.
- A reliable, organized, and positive individual who’s committed to making a difference.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in childcare or youth programming.
- You’re at least 21 years old, have your high school diploma (or are pursuing an undergraduate degree), and are ready to inspire and lead.
Additional Qualifications:
- Transportation to and from work.
- A love for building connections with kids, staff, and families alike.
- A knack for planning, organizing, and executing creative activities and lessons.
