We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial management and regulatory compliance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, billing, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management. They will develop and implement financial strategies to align with the organization's strategic goals, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, and prepare financial reports for the board of directors, stakeholders, and executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, billing, A/R, and revenue cycle management.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve full FQHC status and support organizational growth objectives.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
4. Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executive team.
5. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and effective use of financial resources.
6. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud and errors.
7. Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, managing them accordingly to achieve organizational goals.
8. Collaborate with the CEO to prepare and submit UFR and UDS reports in a timely and accurate manner.
9. Work with Physicians and staff to optimize reimbursement rates and improve operational efficiency.
10. Participate in developing and implementing plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel to accommodate growth objectives.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
2. CPA certification highly desirable.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in an FQHC setting.
4. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Strong knowledge of GAAP, UFR, UDS, and other relevant financial regulations.
6. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office.
