Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match colors according to specifications and color theory principles.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the scope of work required.
- Perform construction estimating to assess project needs and materials required.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on remodeling projects, including masonry and frame carpentry tasks.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various painting tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct final inspections of painted surfaces to ensure quality standards are met before project completion.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting with a focus on residential projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and their application in various settings.
- Knowledge of color theory and its practical application in painting projects.
- Experience reading schematics and understanding construction plans is a plus.
- Previous experience in remodeling or related construction fields will be beneficial.
