What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Donatech Corporation?
Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Required.
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure that products meet rigorous engineering standards by conducting thorough inspections at various stages of the production process. Your responsibilities will include in-depth inspection of piece parts, hardware, whole units, and chemicals, ensuring they meet FAA, customer, and our client’s standards.
What You Will Do:
• Product Inspection: Conduct inspections of arriving, in-process, and completed products to ensure they meet predetermined engineering requirements.
• Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and manage non-conforming products, including quarantining and providing disposition when authorized.
• Special Process Oversight: Plan, organize, direct, and report on special process-related activities, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements.
• Raw Materials and Provider Evaluation: Assess raw materials quality, monitor special process service providers’ performance, and report laboratory testing results.
• Quality Function Collaboration: Engage in testing activities performed by other quality functions, providing expertise and oversight.
• Comprehensive Oversight: Provide thorough oversight and inspection of parts, materials, and processes to maintain high-quality standards.
• Communication: Ability to communicate across business functions (and countries) when required to mitigate non-conformities.
o Ability to articulate factual issues to reduce lag time when non-conformities arise.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Client will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Proficiency in using various measuring devices and testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of statistical control processes.
• Familiar with First Article Inspections (FAI), Air Worthiness Certificates (AWC) and non-conformance management.
• Knowledge of special process specifications such as NDT, heat treat, welding, brazing, plating, and chemical processing as required.
• Familiarity with NADCAP accreditation processes.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
• Moderate understanding of logistics processes (I.E. receiving, warehousing, purchasing, etc.) in a distribution center environment.
• Basic understanding of 5S and LEAN principals.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems in a component oriented business.
