Role: Android Developer
Location: Albany, New York City, New York
Duration: 12 Months
Location & Travel: Some required travel to in-person meetings in Albany and New York City.
Duties
- Write, test, ship, and maintain an Android features application
- Collaborate and interface with multiple project teams to ensure the application meets project and funding expectations and requirements on schedule.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including end user groups and stakeholders.
- Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts for the Android Application
- Manage the process for inclusion of the Android application in the App Store

Requirements
- This is an 100% Onsite
- 6 years of development experience with Android mobile applications
- High degree of fluency with Android frameworks and Jetpack libraries, Kotlin, and object-oriented design best practices. You are a strong coder and know how to write clean, effective code at scale.
- Experience implementing app security using OKTA, RSA Code.
- Deep experience working with and debugging RESTful APIs Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming Android development.
- Ability to write well-documented, clean Kotlin and Java code Working knowledge in latest Android API
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Deep understanding of core software concepts, including networking, security, memory management, multi-threading, and application life-cycle management
- Proven experience with native apps architecture patterns, including commonly used patterns such as MVVM and MVP, as well as designing new ones to fit unique needs.
- Complete knowledge of Android devices, platform, and application experiences
- Deep understanding of design patterns and API design
- Knowledge of Android performance and security techniques
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Experience with release cycle management and App Store distribution.
- Proven working experience in Android app development and have published at least one original Android app.
- Prior experience in AGILE environment, TDD and Unit testing
