Technical Skills

The MDM Data Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture for Master Data Management systems. They work closely with data governance, data stewards, and IT teams to ensure that master data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across the organization. This role involves handling data integration, ETL processes, data quality, and maintenance of the MDM platform.

Key Responsibilities

MDM Solution Design and Development:

• Design and implement MDM solutions to manage master data entities such as customer, product, supplier, etc.
• Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to define data models and structures that align with the organization’s MDM strategy.
• Develop and configure MDM systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  
  

Data Integration (ETL/ELT)

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into the MDM repository.
• Work with integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi) to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by integrating data from disparate sources and consolidating them into a single view.
  
  

Data Quality And Cleansing

• Implement data quality processes such as de-duplication, standardization, and validation to ensure high-quality master data.
• Identify data anomalies and discrepancies and apply rules to cleanse, merge, and maintain golden records.
• Perform ongoing data quality audits and improvement initiatives.
  
  

Master Data Governance

Collaborate with data governance teams to define and enforce data governance policies, including data stewardship and data lifecycle management.

Data Modeling And Design

• Design and maintain data models for master data entities, relationships, and hierarchies.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to manipulate and analyze master data.
• Ensure data models support the organization's reporting and analytics needs.
  
  

Collaboration With Business Teams
