The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is upgrading infrastructure at many of its facilities throughout the State. Each of these projects requires some degree of technology support. The Project Manager will serve as staff augmentation to assist the Agency with managing several technology initiatives, primarily including but not limited to: Overseeing the procurement and installation of internet connectivity (fiber optic or broadband) at OPHRP priority sites across the state, and Ensuring that new capital construction and renovation incorporates best practices for technology regarding construction, cabling, hardware, etc.

Duties
- Assist in the development of technical specifications for connectivity (whether new or upgraded) to meet individual facility needs.
- Acquire quotes from third-party vendors and ensure that quoted services meet the needs of OPRHP.
- Coordinate vendor activities by monitoring and tracking vendor deliverables and commitments.
- Work closely with OPRHP’s Procurement and Finance teams to procure new connectivity or upgrades to existing connectivity.
- Consult with and provide technical assistance to the Capital Construction team and Automation & Innovation team to ensure connectivity at a given site is sufficient for those teams’ purposes (egg environmental education, entry automation, public Wi-Fi).
- Facilitate the communication between ORPHP and ITS on projects and work closely with the ITS Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for OPRHP.
- Serve as a resource to Automation & Innovation team leadership, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of team connectivity projects.
- Develop project plans specifying goals, dependencies, staffing, deliverables, milestones, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
- Utilize standard procedures for project delivery, reporting and documentation for technology projects.
- Maintain up-to-date project budgets and track project-related costs and expenditures.
- Facilitate projects by developing agendas and running meetings.
- Prepare project status reports and keep the team and management informed of project status and related issues, escalating as necessary.
- Experience (10 Years)
- Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.

- 84 Months of Project Management experience overseeing projects comprised of multiple deliverables
- 84 Months of experience tracking progress on several long-term projects
- 84 Months of experience reviewing project management deliverables
- 84 Months of experience identifying and proposing mitigations for project risks and issues.
- 84 Months of experience facilitating communication between project team members
- 84 Months of experience leading meetings, documenting notes, status report and developing project documentations
- 60 months experience managing a portfolio of complex and interdependent Information Technology (IT) projects for the public sector/government.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Scrum Master certification
