What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus / Van Route Driver position at Doniphan-Trumbull Public School?
D-T is looking for staff or community members who would be interested in subbing as van route drivers for after-school. These drivers would be used when we are short bus drivers for afternoon routes and would transport between 8 and 10 students on a route.
Typically, these routes have the same students and addresses to support the driver. Training is required for this position. D-T will pay for your training and your time in the training.
Training requirements include about 5 hours of paid training, and we require a clean driving record and criminal history check. Training is provided virtually by the Nebraska Safety Center and D-T. This position DOES NOT require a CDL. Route van driving is paid an hourly rate that covers the entire route prep until the driver is back in the lot. This includes refueling, washing, etc., as necessary.
