CONTROLLER – REAL ESTATE CPA
Location: Park Ridge, NJ No relocation offered
Full-Time, Permanent, On-Site
Salary: $185,000 – $250,000 (Based on experience) Benefits
A prestige firm is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team in Park Ridge, NJ. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader, highly organized, and capable of managing a team of 2-3 accounting professionals while overseeing financial operations for real estate-focused clients. The candidate must have strong communication and people skills to build relationships, lead teams, and foster a positive work environment.
Our client is one of the leading, well-respected public accounting firms in the country that provides financial services to prestigious clients with significant real estate investment portfolios and this person will be handling one particular client. New modern offices and technology, strong support staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including managerial roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate industry standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software, such as Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, Accounting CS, Sage, etc.
- Extensive knowledge in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting.
- Capable of leading a team of 2-3 accounting professionals while overseeing financial operations for real estate-focused clients.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for team management and relationship-building.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in real estate financial matters.
