CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) Integration Engineer Is needed for the project work for the Class 1/2/3 and NG911 Call Handling upgrade of the Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency call system and provide expertise and technical specialization during the testing and configuration phases. The NG911 configuration and test tasks in the SDE and production are time-critical.

- Manage the CAD integration with NG Call Handling.
- Directs the configuration of equipment and sub-systems into both PSAC
- Advise the City and NG911 team on the integration, engineering and technical issues on the phases that include Telephony, Logging & Recording, Computer Aided Dispatch and Call Handling.
- Provide direction on Functional interfaces, testing to ensure CAD system meets requirements of the system.
- Ensure the CAD integration within the NG911 program is delivered on time and meets NYPD requirements.
- Validate CAD interfaces and participate in end-to-end System integration testing.
- Identify appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts.
- At least 12 years of experience as a CAD Integration Engineer.
- Ability to provide expertise in existing NYPD ICAD systems.
- Participate in the integration and testing of the NextGen911 Call Handling System with outlying systems, specifically the NYPD Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
- Lead technical discussions in integration planning and review meetings and managing the action items
- Expertis e on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) for Police systems
- Experience in implementing a Call Handling System
- Identify system level use cases and test cases targeted at interface validation, as well as assisting the SDE team, project leads, and
- Integration experience between CAD and a Call Handling System
- Previous integration / test experience on a large system
