Overview
NYSERDA Web Operations seeks a Web Content Producer, who has 3 or more years' experience in web design, web content editing, or web development. Web Content Producer performs website updates in Sitecore CMS. Web Content Producer meets with stakeholders throughout NYSERDA regarding their website content and assists in executing content requests, re-formatting content, re-organizing content, correcting errors, and problem solving with a focus on web design best practices, including responsive and accessible design.
Web Content Producer works closely with NYSERDA Marketing and Communications to further NYSERDA's goals via NYSERDA web properties. A professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of simultaneous tasks is required.
This is not a web programming/developer position, it is largely based around updating existing content and assisting marketing and program staff in producing new content, however experience with web development technologies and related resources such as cascading stylesheets (specifically Bootstrap, versions 4 and/or 5) and JavaScript (specifically jQuery), and DataTables Javascript library is highly desired. The ideal candidate will be fluent in creating responsive and accessible designs for informational graphics, embedded external visualizations (Tableau, ArcGIS, Microsoft BI), videos, and interactive presentations.

- Manage high volume of content updates for NYSERDA websites within Sitecore CMS,
- Meet with NYSERDA staff as needed regarding website updates,
- Advise NYSERDA staff on best practices for content hierarchy/organization, search engine optimization, accessibility,
- Create responsive designs, information-graphics, and visualizations,
- Collaborate with NYSERDA IT department to implement solutions to enhance NYSERDA program delivery on the web,
- Understand and adhere to NYSERDA's policies and procedures,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year or more experience with Sitecore CMS,
- 3 years' experience in hand-coding semantic HTML,
- 3 years' experience with Cascading Style Sheets (Bootstrap version 4; version 5 preferred),
- 3 years' experience with working with JavaScript libraries (jQuery preferred) within a CMS (Content Management System),
- Ability to optimize web pages for search engines,
- Ability to design responsive web pages, and responsive and accessible information graphics,
- Excellent grammar and verbal skills; ability to offer suggestions for simplifying/presenting complex topics on the web,
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2); ability to identify and resolve accessibility issues,
- Ability to create, edit, slice, and compress graphics using Adobe Photoshop,
- Ability to create and edit HTML using Adobe Dreamweaver,
- Ability to find creative solutions to content design requests,
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365,
- Organized, professional, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
- Available 8:30 am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Mandatory meetings take place on Mondays (11:30am – 12:00om), Tuesdays (10am-11am), Thursdays (10:30am-12:00pm). Availability for additional meeting may be required.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree with a minor in a related field (such as Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Web Design, Web Development, Computer Programming, Graphic Design, Business Administration),
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Web Design, Web Development, Computer Programming, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related discipline.
