Responsibilities
We are hiring a part-time Building Engineer to help us out with backfill at our facility in Culpeper, VA. Working hours are Saturday or Sunday 12-12. Flexibility is a must. A DC Third Class license is required.
In this role, you will assist in the performance of the preventative maintenance program, while also being available to troubleshoot and repair building systems as needed. This is a walking and working position. We have 4 diesel-powered boilers on site, a multitude of VAVs, standard fire life and safety systems, and 4 chillers.
Qualifications
So as much as we would love to hear from everyone, there are some specific things we are looking for in your profile. You might have:
- Must pass and maintain a government background check
- 7 of the last 10 years in a relevant field
- Active DC 3rd Class Engineer license
- Lab or critical site experience a plus
- Operating/adjusting building HVAC systems for efficiency and comfort
- Maintaining/troubleshooting/repairing the following systems/equipment
- Chillers/chilled water systems
- Building HVAC equipment
- Boilers and hot water heating systems
- Domestic water and plumbing systems
- Electrical systems including lighting, motors, starters, contactors, etc.
