We are hiring a Lead Engineer in Bethesda, MD. Hours Monday - Friday 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm with flexibility to support projects after hours as required. Salary $40 / hr depending on knowledge and experience. Your day to day will vary and your duties could include : Providing Quality Control services for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performedAssisting with competitive processes, developing statement of work construction documents, obtaining bids / proposals / cost estimates for Tenant Work Orders (TWO's) and construction projectsOversight of diagnostics and repairs on building systemsOversight of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety system repairsPreparing work schedulesMaintaining records and preparing required reportsCoordinating and scheduling maintenance and repair work on a daily basisManaging on-site subcontractors supporting the projectsPreparing and issuing solicitations for the subcontractors as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirementsQualifications The Chief Engineer shall possess the following minimum qualifications : 10 years of building engineering experience preferredStrong leadership skills a mustExperience managing subcontractorsCFC UniversalExceptional HVAC knowledge / skillsDemonstrate expert working knowledge of engineering and building systemsQuality Control / Inspect completed workAbility to plan, organize and meet deadlinesAbility to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as requiredProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and project tracking softwareAbility to read, review and understand blueprintsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage subordinates and multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentEOE / M / F / Vet / Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
