Compensation $85K - $90K annual salary

Essential Functions

  • Daily Operations : Supervise and manage the daily operations of the food and beverage department.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure quality and presentation standards are consistently met.
  • Guest Relations : Address and resolve guest comments and complaints promptly.
  • Purchasing & Inventory : Oversee purchasing and inventory management.
  • Staff Training : Train staff on job competencies, hotel policies, and service standards.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with brand requirements in both kitchen and front-of-house areas.
  • Staffing Levels : Implement and monitor staffing levels to balance guest satisfaction and cost control.
  • Scheduling : Assist in weekly scheduling based on hotel forecasts.
  • Standards Review : Regularly review department standards to ensure compliance with brand and hotel requirements.
  • Issue Resolution : Address staff inquiries and issues professionally and timely.
  • Sanitation & Safety : Train and supervise food sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Banquet Coordination : Collaborate with sales and housekeeping to ensure successful banquet execution.
  • Leadership : Demonstrate positive leadership to inspire and motivate employees.
  • Employee Management : Hire, train, manage, develop, and evaluate all food and beverage staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to all hotel, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Leadership Qualities : Exhibit leadership qualities as outlined in the Leadership Job Requirement Chart.

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience : Previous food & beverage and supervisory or management experience.
  • Certification : Certificate in Food Sanitation is a plus.
  • Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, certified food handler, ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and ability to motivate and train employees.
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Policy Adherence : Follow all hotel work rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Flexibility : Be prepared to work shifts that accommodate fluctuating business demands.
  • Short Term Goals :

  • Guest Satisfaction : Improve guest satisfaction scores to 90% or better by year-end.
  • Action Plans : Develop action plans for the department when guest satisfaction scores fall below expectations.
  • Cost Control : Monitor POU costs versus budget to ensure effective cost and payroll management based on hotel occupancy.
