Role Description
This is a contract on-site role for a Clinical Pharmacist located in Casa Grande, AZ. The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for pharmacy practice described as a Country Club style Pharmacy.
You will over see Rx filling and provide pharmaceutical care that were trained to do.
The pharmacist will speak to the patient whenever possible. The pharmacist will request lab work and histories to be kept at our pharmacy. This information will be used to train the patient on what is being treated and the role of the medication in the treatment.
The pharmacist will Provide medication’s for minor wounds and assist the patient if necessary.
The pharmacist will provide care that is allowed by the Pharmacy practice act which means that you may observe patients for enlarged lymph nodes, flu , strep, coughing, colds, and provide the best care you are able to.
If you are trained in physical assessment, you may do minor physical assessment along with our pharmacy technician observing.
You may test for flu, Covid, and write notes for patients to avoid work should the test turn out positive or you feel the patient is not healthy enough to go to work that day.
You will participate in collaborative practice agreements based in you experience and previous skills.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Care skills
- Medicine and Compounding knowledge
- Experience in clinical pharmacy settings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Arizona
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
