About the Internship :
Thefocus of the internship is to promote and educate the public about organ, eyeand tissue donation and the DonateLifeAZ Registry. This position will providethe intern with valuable, real-world experience. The intern will be consideredan integral part of the Marketing department, and as such, their ideas and input will be valued. The internwill work15-28 hours per week during the current semester and will becompensated $18.00 per hour plus reimbursement for work related mileage. Thehours may be worked in any combination at the discretion of the supervisor andintern. This is an in office position. The student must be able to be present at the Tempe office.
Job Duties :
- We are looking for a candidate that can hold this position for at least 1 year.
In this rolethe intern will help with the following :
Assists with marketing the DonateLifeAZ Registry and Donor Network of Arizona's Marketing & Communications programs and campaigns to ultimately increase the number of registered donors.
Assists with the writing of press releases and other materials delivered to media, as well as distribution of such items.
Assists with translations for projects, such as marketing materials, Done Vida social media and Spanish press releases. (Bilingual Marketing & Communications intern only.)
Assists with developing social media and marketing plans to promote upcoming events.
Assists with working on social media sites for Donate Life Arizona, Done Vida Arizona and Donor Network of Arizona.
Tracks and logs media and social media coverage and reach.
Assists in coordinating registry drives with local community groups and companies to increase the number of registered organ and tissue donors.
Assists with creating, maintaining and improving partner relations with Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division and authorized third-party office leadership and employees in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications partner development specialist through various tasks.
Writes for the company newsletters : Year in Review, MVD Connection, Health Care Connection, Funeral Home Connection, Emergency Professional Connection and All Things DNA, as well as volunteer and general interest e-blasts.
Assists with creating graphics, flyers and videos for internal and external campaigns or events.
Assists with event planning, set up and breakdown as needed.
Assists with promotional materials and department mailers.
Performs other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
Mustpossess strong writing, verbal communication skills and have the ability toprioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments.
Education
Majoring in a communication-related field and in good standing with theuniversity.
